Early life and study
1988, the year is well known for the devastating flood across the country. I was born in Comilla. I was the first child and this is one of the reasons why I get so much attention in my family. My father is a police officer and this is why we had to move place to place each year.
From the childhood, I was gifted with different things such as art and knowledge. I was fond of learning new things and giving away my toys to the kids who plays with me. Spent a whole year on Chittagong where my younger brother was born on 1993.
At the age of 5, I saw Terminator 2 movie and loved the movie so much that I almost watched the movie hundreds of times by then. Till then I still love the movie and watch it with the same excitement. It became a part of my childhood and the way I grew up.
At 1994 we moved to Dhaka and I was admitted to a standard one. I was 6 years old and never had traditional education. I had problems in writing and reading. The first semester was really hard for me and I had bad grades. But I managed to keep up and do a better in the last semester. After that I was promoted to third standard instead of the second and admitted into another school in Mohammadpur. Later my dad wanted me to send me to a better school and I got an admission in Residential Model School & College for standard four. But my dad loved me so much that he can’t let me live on a boarding school. At that time I realized that I had a good grip on English. I never studied for English exams and I always got A and A+ grades in English.
In the middle of my fifth standard studies, we all moved to Mirpur; far away from Mohammadpur and were unable to attend class. Later I got prepared to attend the final semester. My house teacher said it’s impossible for me to study and prepare for exams under one month but my mom had trust in me. I attend the exams and hopefully I passed to sixth standard.
I joined Senapolly School and completed six and seven standard. At the very end of seventh standard, I missed one exam and was failed from the whole semester. Hopefully I got an admission in eighth standard in Shaheed Police Smrity School and College. By then we were all moved to Kazipara, Mirpur in our apartment. Later I completed my SSC and HSC from there and never had to change the school from standard 8 to HSC. That’s 6 years of study and one of the longest time spent in a single institute.
2004 End of high school and web design
I was an average Joe on high school, the kind of boy never got noticed by the teachers or others. Only few of my friends knew me and I completed the whole thing being un-noticed.
On that time my friend Rafi was looking for some part time work to support his family, as his dad lost his job. He then seeks help from another friend of mine Jhati and I heard about the online industry for the first time. I learned that you can make money via advertisements with a website. We all decided to start a website of our own.
I worked hard day and night to build a website on FrontPage. I created a site CreativeTeensBD and later Fun4Teens hoping that Jhati will make it LIVE after completing it. By the time only I among 6 people was thinking about the site and others were spreading the word on the school. At the eleventh hour when the site was about to finish, our only tech support Jhati refused to continue.
2005 Getting noticed and Tomart with Maya
By the time my final SSC exams were ahead, I was getting popular among my friends because of my art and drawings. Friends soon figured out that I have an impressive talent of sketch drawing. They wanted me to draw something for them in their notebooks and tee shirts. That was the concept that made me starts designing in tee shirts.
The remarkable day and fashion designing
I usually don’t go out at festivals. On the Bengali New Year my friends told me to go out with them on the festival. I took a challenge that I will earn money from the festival. I had brought few permanent markers and used it to draw different festive arts on human face for money. Within one hour, I made TK200. That’s not much but was great for me then.
This gave me enough confidence that I’m able to make money and I can start a fashion designing store. Later one of my close friends Rafi and Jhati asked me to join their startup designing store as a designer. I joined them but the work was ended in less than a week. In the same day another friend of mine Shohag invited me to join their own startup business, as a designer.
We were 5 people in the team with 2 designers. We produced some of the most outstanding tee shirts, cloths and designs. I gave the name of the startup called “Tomart with Maya.” We opened our own store over at Mirpur.
But the work didn’t last longer as we all had to join college. Later I got involved in MLM and college studies.
2006-2007 College, MLM and Destiny 2000 ltd
Joining MLM was the greatest thing ever happened in my life. I completely moved towards a different direction as I learned new things. I learned the world is bigger and your dreams are even bigger than that. I boost up my attitude with the help of MLM.
The impact of MLM in my study was dramatically positive. I was getting noticed by my teachers in college and doing better in the studies. All of these happened because of the super charged attitude. I also did top in my exams. But because of the MLM and some of my health issues, I was unable to attend all of my classes. My friends started to spread the rumor that MLM is making me away of studies.
In Destiny 2000 Ltd, I soon became in the front row. I became the presenter and soon promoted to an MLM coach and trainer. I became an attitude builder and motivator for new networkers. By the time me and my mom helped a lot of people mentally and financially to join and manage their business. With a lot of hard work, I was able to complete my HSC studies and now was looking for higher education.
Late 2007 and DhakaSale
One day I was watching a show about second life and learned that there’s money on the internet. A lot of people go there to spend money and other earns it. That time I realized that the real opportunity is in the sky and this is the advanced multi level marketing. I had a plan to work at home and have a decent time for family and leisure. I started to think about a website and shared it with one of my friends Shamim.
Shamim and I started a website DhakaSale, a buy and sell website. Sort of eBay but it’s more like an information driven site with no scope to buy online. As I was new online and didn’t want to spend any money before learning, I created the site from a free website provider. This was the original site: freewebs.com/dhakasale. The partnership didn’t last longer because a few months later Shamim was moved to another place and he didn’t have any interest on continuing it. I guess this was the will of God because that was the time I learned about internet blogging.
2008 The blog about success
It took me a few days to learn the basics of blogging so I just published my first blog, blog-success.blogspot.com. I started to blog about MLM and motivational articles. Then I learned that this is the old school MLM method from the 90’s and the new school is networking on the internet. I built a big network on Facebook and marketers started to read my blog and invited me on their system. In that time, I receive 5 invites alone from Agel and few others too.
I dedicated a whole lot of time on blogging. I spent around 9 hours a day for learning, writing and promoting my blog. It got popular and ranked higher for Bangladesh MLM on Google. After that I started to make money with that blog via payperpost and others.
Mid 2008 Domains, BlogKori and a new journey
On June 2008, I received my first payment from payperpost which was $20. I invested that money to buy a domain for my blog and the new address was tamalanwar.com. Now I was blogging at full speed until I had a feeling about a new blog. People who were reading blog-success, asked me a lot on how to blog and how to make money with it so I decided to create a blog.
I had a plan to write 30-40 posts about blogging and then complete it and I was not sure if I would buy a domain for that or not? One of my online friends, Mushfiq said he would buy me a domain for the new site. I then created a new blog about internet blogging which you all know, BlogKori.
By the time I was running two blogs at the same time. It got extremely hard when BlogKori became popular. I had continuously checking the stats of both sites until blog-success was no match for BlogKori.
Update in progress..
